Apple Pie Ribs

Fall-off-the-bone ribs that are as sweet as apple pie!

Ingredient Amount
St. Louis Spare Ribs 2 slabs
Apple Rub 1/2 cup
Butter 1 stick
Apple Butter 1 cup
Apple Cider Vinegar 1 cup
Apple Cider 1 cup
Apple BBQ Sauce 2 cups
  1. Prepare pellet smoker with Apple Pellets at 250 degrees
  2. Trim and remove membrane from ribs
  3. Lightly spray ribs with Apple Cider Vinegar
  4. Rest ribs for 15 minutes
  5. Apply Apple rub to all sides of ribs
  6. Rest for 15 minutes
  7. Place ribs in smoker for 3 hours
  8. Spray ribs with Apple Cider every hour
  9. Remove ribs from smoker and prepare for wrapping
  10. Brush meat side of ribs with Apple Butter,
    place four 1 Tbsp. pats of butter on bone side of ribs,
    spray bone side with Apple Cider
  11. Wrap ribs in aluminum foil and return to smoker meat side down
  12. Smoke ribs for 2 hours
  13. Remove ribs from aluminum foil wrapping
  14. Add more Apple Rub to ribs and brush meat side with Apple BBQ Sauce
  15. Return to smoker for 1 hour
  16. Remove ribs from smoker and serve
